The explainx guarantee
Learn with confidence. The explainx guarantee explains when you can request a full refund for a paid workshop, how longer workshops differ, and how to contact support.
In this article
Workshops lasting 3 weeks or more
Try the first live session. If the workshop is not right for you, request a full refund after session 1 and before session 2 begins. You can also cancel before the first session for a full refund.
The duration is the scheduled span of the workshop, not the number of live sessions. Your checkout and workshop FAQ show the guarantee that applies to that run.
One-week and other shorter workshops
For a one-week workshop, request a full refund at least 7 days before the first session starts. The same rule applies to other workshops shorter than 3 weeks, including one-day, weekend, and two-week workshops.
After the applicable refund window, you can transfer your seat to a future run of the same workshop at no extra cost. Contact support to arrange the transfer.
Request your refund
Email [email protected] from the address used for your purchase. Include the workshop name, cohort dates, and order or payment reference. For a team purchase, identify the seats your request concerns.
The time you send your request determines whether it is within the window. You do not need to wait for a support reply before the deadline. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. Keep payment details and receipts out of public Community comments.
If we cancel or cannot deliver
If explainx cancels the workshop or fails to deliver the sessions, you receive a full refund regardless of the normal request window. The refund policy also explains your options if a workshop is rescheduled.
What this guarantee covers
This guarantee covers paid explainx workshop seats. Free workshops and seats included with a membership do not have a separate workshop payment to refund. Memberships, standalone bootcamps, and other products have their own terms in the refund policy.
Existing purchases retain the terms shown when they were bought, including any more favorable promise. This guarantee does not limit mandatory consumer rights. For general purchase help, see refunds and cancellations.
