Introduce yourself to your cohort

A simple introduction

Tell the group your role or area of interest, the task that brought you to the workshop, and one thing you would like to build. Add a skill or experience you are happy to discuss with classmates.

For example: “I work in operations and want to make our weekly reporting easier to review. I’m new to automation, but I can share what makes a report useful for a team lead.”

Keep it comfortable

Share only what you want the cohort to know. Leave out personal contact details and confidential workplace information. Members’ external links wait for classroom staff review, so a plain-text introduction is the quickest way to start. Reply to a classmate whose goal overlaps with yours and ask a specific question. Instructors can model the tone by posting their own introduction first.

Help classmates recognize you

Check your username and profile photo in Account settings. Classmates can use your @username to tag you in a conversation. Select a name or photo in chat to open a profile card, or open Members to see who is online. Use classroom messages and replies to quote an introduction or continue in a thread.
