Ask your employer to reimburse a workshop
Ask your manager or learning team to approve the workshop before you buy it. explainx can help with purchase documentation; your employer decides reimbursement eligibility.
In this article
Make the request concrete
Link the workshop to a task you already own. Include the workshop page, dates, price shown at checkout, time away from work, and the output you plan to produce. Check whether approval must come before payment and what information the invoice needs.
A message you can adapt
I would like to attend [workshop title] on [dates] through explainx. I will use the session to improve [specific work task] and build [practical output]. The workshop costs [checkout total] and requires [time commitment]. May I use our learning budget for this? I can share the result with the team afterward.
Replace every bracketed field before sending. Include the workshop URL and mention any separate tools or subscriptions the workshop requires.
Find your purchase documents
Check your payment confirmation and account page. If the document you need is missing, email support with the purchase reference and required billing details. Keep receipts out of public comments.
If your employer also needs proof of completion, check the workshop’s certificate requirements before enrolling. Reimbursement and certificate eligibility are separate decisions.
