Share resources with your community

The community resource library keeps useful links in one place so members do not have to find them inside old discussions. Owners and instructors can add, edit, and remove resources. Members with community access can open the library.

Add a resource

1. Open your community’s Resources section and select Add a resource.
2. Enter a Title that says what the material is, such as “Week 2 project checklist”.
3. Add a Description explaining when to use it and any preparation needed.
4. Paste the full HTTPS address into Resource link.
5. Select Add resource and open the saved link to check it.

Resources point to material hosted elsewhere: a document, recording, guide, or course page. The library does not upload or copy files. If your material is on your computer, first put it in the storage service you use for teaching, then share its link here.

Check destination permissions

Community membership controls who can see the library. It does not change permissions in a document service, video host, or another course platform.

Check that your intended learners can open the destination with their own accounts. Avoid assuming that a link works for everyone just because it works while you are signed in as its owner. If access requires another purchase or account, explain that clearly in the resource description.

Do not put credentials in a URL. Share only materials you are permitted to distribute, and check recordings for private learner information before making them available.

Keep the library current

Open Manage resource to update a title, description, or URL and select Save resource. Choose Remove resource when it is no longer useful. Removing it from the library does not delete the original file or page at its source.

Use consistent titles and briefly announce new material in the relevant discussion space. Members who want to suggest a resource can describe it in a discussion and ask the teaching team to add it; community owners and instructors are the roles allowed to share links in posts and replies.
