# Welcome learners to their explainx cohort

A welcome message should help learners find their first session, prepare their tools, and know where to ask questions. Send it with the confirmed workshop details.

## Cover the first steps

Link to the workshop dashboard and [My classrooms](/workshops). State the first session’s date and time zone, required preparation, and any accounts learners need. Explain the difference between session resources and classroom conversations.

## Set expectations

Describe the kind of participation and feedback the workshop includes. Explain how to ask a question in Doubts and where to discuss progress in General. Remind learners that public Questions and help comments can be read outside their cohort.

## Test the links

Check the welcome message using the intended learner access. Make sure the session title and dates match the published run. Offer [support@explainx.ai](mailto:support@explainx.ai) for account or enrollment problems so learners do not post payment details in the classroom.
