# Teach effectively with a small audience

A small group can be a useful starting point for an explainx workshop when the learners share a clear problem and you can support them closely.

## Focus your invitation

Describe a specific situation, such as a researcher checking AI summaries against source interviews. Name the experience or tools someone needs before joining. Clear scope helps suitable learners recognize themselves.

## Use the group size well

Give each learner time to explain their approach and receive feedback. Record repeated obstacles in your teaching notes. Keep examples reusable so the next cohort benefits from what you learn.

## Grow through demonstrated work

Ask learners whether they want to share an output or reflection, and get permission before publishing it. Describe the actual work they completed instead of implying guaranteed business results. Choose future capacity based on the feedback you can deliver, rather than the size of your social following.
