# Share photos in the classroom

Use the image button to attach a photo to a classroom message, or paste a screenshot with **Ctrl+V** on Windows or **Cmd+V** on Mac. You can include up to four photos in one message.

## Check the photo limits

Each photo can be up to **5 MB**. Supported formats are **PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP**. If a file is larger than the limit, reduce its size before attaching it. If you have more than four photos to share, split them across messages.

Choose images that show the part of the exercise you want to explain. A focused screenshot makes it easier for students to see the relevant setting, result, or error without searching through the rest of your screen.

## Review the thumbnails before sending

Attached photos appear as thumbnails before you send the message. Check that you have selected the intended images and that the details students need are readable.

Add a short explanation of what each photo shows and what students should notice. Send the message with **Enter** on a computer. On a phone, use the send button; Enter adds a new line.

## Know who can open the photos

Classroom photos are private to that classroom. Only people in the classroom can open them. Check screenshots for unrelated personal or workplace information before sharing them with the group.

Students can also use screenshots to explain questions in **#doubts**. Ask them to describe what they tried alongside the image so you have enough context to answer.
