# Find your classroom and teaching channels

Each workshop run has a private, Discord-style classroom on community.explainx.ai. Open the classroom for the run you are teaching, then choose a channel from the left sidebar. The classroom keeps that run's conversations together.

## Open the right classroom

Classroom addresses use `/runs/<run-slug>`, such as `/runs/claude-for-work-oct-2026`. When sharing the address with students, use the link for their workshop run so they know which classroom to open.

The left sidebar lists your active classrooms. The classroom you have open is expanded to show its channels. Finished classrooms are hidden from this list. On a phone, use the menu button to open the sidebar before choosing a classroom or channel.

## Give each channel a clear purpose

Use **#general** for introductions and classroom conversation. Direct questions to **#doubts** so students know where to ask for help. Use **#prompts** for the class prompts you share as an instructor.

There is also one **#day-N** channel for each class day, such as **#day-1**. Use the matching day channel for conversation about that day's work. At the start of class, name the channel students should open before asking them to post.

## Find materials and communities

The sidebar also includes **Recordings**, **Resources**, and your communities. Point students to these links when you explain how to move between classroom conversations and workshop materials.
