An explainx project should help learners apply a workshop skill and produce something they can review. Set a clear scope, input, and definition of completion.

## Write a usable brief

Describe the task, required tools, expected output, and approximate effort. Provide a small example and a checklist for reviewing the result. Explain where learners should share questions or work.

## Keep the first version small

Break a larger project into checkpoints, such as preparing inputs, building a first version, and testing a failure case. Give feedback before learners invest heavily in an incorrect approach.

## Share safely

Use the class prompt or agreed private classroom discussion for submissions. Ask learners to remove secrets and confidential data from examples. If work cannot be shared with classmates, agree a suitable private review process with the instructor. Do not imply that a classroom post is private to the instructor alone.
