# Turn your method into a reusable checklist

A teaching checklist helps learners repeat a process after an explainx workshop. Keep it short enough to use while doing the actual task.

## Extract the decisions

Write the steps you follow, then remove anything that is merely background explanation. For each step, identify the input needed and the condition that allows the learner to continue.

## Test it on an example

For an AI-assisted summary, a checklist might cover source selection, unsupported claims, missing context, and final human review. Show a completed example and explain what to do when a check fails.

## Improve with learner feedback

Ask someone to use the checklist without your narration. Note where they hesitate or interpret a step differently. Revise the language and add examples only where they resolve a real ambiguity. Credit any external method you use and share only material you have permission to distribute.
